Take Control

Say goodbye to termites safely and efficiently.

At My Termite Company, we tailor every termite treatment to your specific needs. After all, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution.

We adjust the products we use depending on the species. Some termiticides work well on drywood termites, whereas others target subterranean colonies. We make sure to apply the right product for each specific termite problem.

We apply our treatments during both pre-construction and post-construction phases. So if you’re searching for dependable termite treatment in Los Angeles, you can count on My Termite Company.

Targeted Drywood Termite Treatments

We use local or spot treatments to eliminate smaller, contained drywood termite infestations. To do this effectively, our process involves drilling tiny holes in affected wood, injecting a powerful termiticide, and letting it spread through the internal termite galleries.

Termites transfer the chemical to one another, wiping out the colony within three months.

At My Termite Company, we use products that act faster and last longer than XT-2000 (Orange Oil).

Drywood Termite Treatment – Localized Treatment

Minor infestations

Termidor®

If the infestation is small—or if fumigation isn’t an option—we use Termidor® for a localized approach. We drill into the wood, inject the treatment, and patch the site neatly. For visible wood areas like attics and crawlspaces, we apply it with a broad spray. The chemical soaks into the wood and targets the termites directly.

We back Termidor® spot treatments with a 1–3 year warranty.

Other products

Depending on your property and preferences, we may recommend Bora-Care®, Altriset®, or Tim-Bor®.

Tim-Bor® works as a dust or liquid, depending on how we apply it. Altriset® offers a low-toxicity, pet-safe solution and remains a customer favorite.

These options help prevent wood decay and stop drywood termites from spreading.

Major infestations

Vikane®

When termites spread into hard-to-reach places like inside walls or attic corners, fumigation is often the best solution. We tent your structure, inject Vikane®, and let it circulate for two nights to reach every hidden area—even behind walls.

This approach wipes out all drywood termites inside the structure.

We include a 2–3 year warranty with every Vikane® treatment.

Drill and Treat for Subterranean termites

Subterranean termite treatments

Subterranean termites live underground and enter structures from below. These pests don’t respond to spot or fumigation treatments.

We treat the soil directly using a liquid termiticide that penetrates the ground and spreads through the colony.

If concrete covers the soil, we drill access holes, inject the chemical, and reseal the surface. For exposed foundations, we dig a trench and apply the termiticide deep into the soil to eliminate the colony at its source.

Termidor®

When we detect subterranean termites, we inject Termidor® into the soil around the problem area or along the full perimeter. If access is easy, we perform a trench treatment. If not, we drill through concrete slabs to reach the soil below. Our technician always seals the treated area afterward.

We offer a 1–3 year warranty on Termidor® treatments.

Altriset®

Altriset® provides fast-acting protection against subterranean termites and continues to defend treated soil long after the initial application.

We apply it with a high-precision spray rig. Altriset® protects your home while remaining safe for families, pets, and the environment.

This treatment comes with a 1–3 year warranty.

Preventative termite treatments

Bora-Care®

Even if we find no signs of active termites, we still recommend a preventative treatment to reduce long-term risk. In such cases, we spray Bora-Care® over accessible wood areas, particularly in attics and subareas. Consequently, the treatment helps protect your home for up to five years.

We include a 1–3 year warranty with this service.

Fungus treatments

Fungus often grows where wood stays damp—especially in low-ventilation areas like crawlspaces, attics, or under sinks. To stop it from spreading, we scrape off the fungus, remove affected material, and apply treatment directly to the area.

Faqs

Most common termite treatment questions

When administered by a professional termite control company, reliable termite treatments can effectively eliminate active infestation in or around the home after treating a home for termites, it’s crucial to get regular treatments and inspections in order to prevent another infestation, however, a local treatment is intended to remove or kill termites only within the specific targeted area, leaving open the possibility of other undetected infestation within the structure. Localized treatments are NOT designed for a whole-house eradication.

Local treatments, as the name suggests, refer to treatments rendered in a localized area. This does not include fumigation (covering the house), on the contrary, it is an alternative to fumigation. A localized treatment mainly refers to a treatment for drywood termites, whereas a subterranean treatment refers to a treatment for subterranean termites. The methods of a localized treatment include drilling into the wood and applying chemical or a broad spray of a given location.

A subterranean treatment refers to any treatment for subterranean termites. The method of application can vary, but the target area is soil or dirt since that is where the subterranean termites form their colony. In addition, a subterranean treatment is not an alternative to fumigation since the chemical used in a fumigation is a gas that cannot penetrate the soil to reach the subterranean colony.

Termiticides are tested extensively for adverse effects on health. Before a product can be used, numerous studies are conducted by the manufacturer and independently evaluated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Based on current knowledge, registered termiticides pose no significant hazard to humans, pets, or the environment when applied according to label directions. Despite the negligible health risk from a properly performed termite treatment, those with lingering concerns should consult their physician.

The products that we use are not harmful to humans or pets, however we recommend leaving the house because some people may be sensitive to the smell.

The best company to hire for sure! They gave me an appointment within a week which was amazing, they worked with my busy schedule and was able to come out on a Sunday and were on time! They gave me the best pricing out of all the companies I called, the work was done in a great manor, I didn’t have to hover to keep an eye on anything, they made me trust their judgement and work. Wendy is just so sweet and easily reachable as well as Alissa who was so helpful every time I called and answered all my questions when I called the office. So I will be recommending their business to all my friends and business associates! Thank you so much!

Highly recommend this company. They are a local neighborhood company that does amazing work and the prices are better than any other competitor I reached out to. I have used other companies in the past and this was by far the smoothest tenting process I’ve had. Brandon & Wendy were wonderful the entire process and always kept me up to speed on where we were in the process. The installation of the tent was seamless and the team that put up the tent were very professional and courteous from start to finish. I would definitely use them again!

Wendy and her team at My Termite Company are awesome! We have treated two properties using their services. They always respond fast. They kept me updated about every stage of the fumigation and repairs process. They gave me a fair price and took into account all changes that happened during the process. We are very happy with their work and customer service!
