Installation Process
Attics
Homeowners with existing insulation
TAP® Pest Control Insulation is a “loose-fill,” cellulose insulation, so it is installed by being blown into attics on top of existing insulation using specialized machines.
Walls
Contractor or Homeowners remodeling
After the drywall is installed, we create small holes in the walls. We blow in the TAP® insulation using hoses, then reseal the holes and paint the walls (if needed).
Homeowners may qualify for a $1,200 tax credit
You may receive a tax credit up to $1,200 per year on your federal taxes if you replace your old attic insulation with TAP® insulation because of its energy efficiency properties.
Congress has introduced new energy efficiency home improvement credits for insulation (section 25C) through the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022. This Act also includes rebates managed by the Department of Energy.
To apply for your tax credit, complete Form 5695 on your tax return. A tax professional can assist you in claiming these credits and keeping up with any changes in requirements and procedures due to the new law.
