The first guideline is storing decor items appropriately. For instance, boxes in your household could be used as a nest by the pests. You need to seal the boxes tightly to make those impenetrable. Then maintain the kitchen by keeping the food sources in a sealed container.

Look at the cracks or crevices and seal those through materials like caulk. If you have woodpiles, then keep those at a long distance. Also, make an effort to clear the debris immediately.
