Take Control

Get rid of termites from your home or building

All of our termite treatments are custom tailored to your specific needs because there is no such thing as ‘one size fits all’.

The termiticide products we use vary depending on the type of termites you have. While one product may be effective getting rid of one termite species, it may not affect another species.

All our termite control treatments can be used during the pre-construction and post-construction building phase.

Drywood termite treatments

Local or spot treatments are designed to target local areas of minor infestation.

Once the drywood termites come in contact with the termiticide, they will transfer it from one to another. Within 3 months the colony is eliminated.

We use termiticides that are faster acting and longer lasting than XT-2000 (Orange Oil).

Minor infestations

Termidor®

When a drywood termite infestation is minimum, or if fumigation is not possible, a local or spot treatment is performed. We inject Termidor® directly into the wood structure by drilling and patching the wood in a local area. When there is exposed wood, such as attics or crawlspace, we apply Termidor® with a broad spray approach. The chemical is absorbed by the wood and directly affects the termites.

We offer 1 to 3 years warranty on Termidor® treatments.

Other products

Depending on your situation, we may chose to use Bora-Care®, Altriset® or Tim-Bor® to control and prevent wood decay caused by drywood termites. We like Tim-Bor® because it can be used as a dust or liquid. Because Altriset® has the lowest toxicity level of all termiticides, it’s a popular ec0-friendly and pet-friendly termite treatment.

Major infestations

Vikane®

Fumigation is performed when there is an excess amount of drywood termites in the property, or if the termite infestation is going into inaccessible areas such as behind drywalls or in attic corners. During the fumigation process, Vikane® is injected and the structure is tented for two nights. This method ensures ALL drywood termites in the structure will be affected, even the termites hiding behind walls.

We offer 2 to 3 years warranty on Vikane® treatment.

Subterranean termite treatments

Subterranean termites infest wood from underground. This species of termites cannot be eliminated with fumigation, spot treatment or heat treatment because their colonies are built underground.

Termidor®

When subterranean termites are found on your property, a subterranean treatment is performed. Since subterranean termites live in the dirt or soil, Termidor® is injected directly into the soil of the affected area, or the soil around the entire perimeter of your property. If the subarea is easily accessible, a trench and treat method is performed. If the soil is not easily accessible or covered by cement, a drill and treat method is performed instead. By drilling into the cement (slab injection), it creates a pathway to directly treat the soil. Once done, the technician seals the holes.

We offer 1 to 3 years warranty on Termidor® treatments.

Altriset®

Another effective subterranean termiticide product we use is Altriset®. It provides immediate termite control relief as well as long-term structural protection and residual protection in surrounding soil. We apply Altriset® using a spray rig. Altriset® doesn’t affect humans, pets or the environment in a negative way.

We offer 1 to 3 years warranty on Altriset® treatments.

Preventative termite treatments

Bora-Care®

The preventative treatment is recommended after the initial treatment. If there is no active termite infestation found in your property, the preventative treatment is still recommended to keep it like that. The preventative treatment is performed as a broad spray with Bora-Care® to reach all accessible wood areas. But since the preventative treatment is an active chemical for about 5 years, it can only be sprayed in attics and subareas.

We offer 1 to 3 years warranty on Bora-Care® treatments.

Fungus treatments

In almost all cases, if there is wet-rot there is also fungus. Fungus can be found in low ventilated areas, mainly in subareas and attics, but also underneath the sink cabinets. To keep it from spreading, scraping off the fungus and discarding is necessary as well as treating the area.

Faqs

Most common termite treatment questions

When administered by a professional termite control company, reliable termite treatments can effectively eliminate active infestation in or around the home after treating a home for termites, it’s crucial to get regular treatments and inspections in order to prevent another infestation, however, a local treatment is intended to remove or kill termites only within the specific targeted area, leaving open the possibility of other undetected infestation within the structure. Localized treatments are NOT designed for a whole-house eradication.

Local treatments, as the name suggests, refer to treatments rendered in a localized area. This does not include fumigation (covering the house), on the contrary, it is an alternative to fumigation. A localized treatment mainly refers to a treatment for drywood termites, whereas a subterranean treatment refers to a treatment for subterranean termites. The methods of a localized treatment include drilling into the wood and applying chemical or a broad spray of a given location.

A subterranean treatment refers to any treatment for subterranean termites. The method of application can vary, but the target area is soil or dirt since that is where the subterranean termites form their colony. In addition, a subterranean treatment is not an alternative to fumigation since the chemical used in a fumigation is a gas that cannot penetrate the soil to reach the subterranean colony.

Termiticides are tested extensively for adverse effects on health. Before a product can be used, numerous studies are conducted by the manufacturer and independently evaluated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Based on current knowledge, registered termiticides pose no significant hazard to humans, pets, or the environment when applied according to label directions. Despite the negligible health risk from a properly performed termite treatment, those with lingering concerns should consult their physician.

The products that we use are not harmful to humans or pets, however we recommend leaving the house because some people may be sensitive to the smell.

The best company to hire for sure! They gave me an appointment within a week which was amazing, they worked with my busy schedule and was able to come out on a Sunday and were on time! They gave me the best pricing out of all the companies I called, the work was done in a great manor, I didn’t have to hover to keep an eye on anything, they made me trust their judgement and work. Wendy is just so sweet and easily reachable as well as Alissa who was so helpful every time I called and answered all my questions when I called the office. So I will be recommending their business to all my friends and business associates! Thank you so much!

Highly recommend this company. They are a local neighborhood company that does amazing work and the prices are better than any other competitor I reached out to. I have used other companies in the past and this was by far the smoothest tenting process I’ve had. Brandon & Wendy were wonderful the entire process and always kept me up to speed on where we were in the process. The installation of the tent was seamless and the team that put up the tent were very professional and courteous from start to finish. I would definitely use them again!

Wendy and her team at My Termite Company are awesome! We have treated two properties using their services. They always respond fast. They kept me updated about every stage of the fumigation and repairs process. They gave me a fair price and took into account all changes that happened during the process. We are very happy with their work and customer service!
